Facebook can cause stress. http://shine.yahoo.com/channel/life/new-study-does-facebook-cause-stress-2455708/

This article has really caught my attention because of its question that's asked in the title"Does facebook stress you out?" I think it's really worth to contemplate on the issue and analyze it since using facebook is just one of the essential aspects in our lives. Facebook is abnormally popular among teenagers and younger adults, and they are just so busy posting status, photo albums, links and ect onto their account. The article has mentioned some of the worst scenarios that facebook can have on its users as well as its pros and cons. People can make new connections or keep in touch with old friends so easily by using this convenient social tool, but why would it also stress people out? According to the study that's stated in the article, 12% said facebook made them feel anxious, 10% said they don't like getting new friends requests, and 63% said they put off accpeting new friends requests. The article even points out that the more friends you have on your account, the more pressure it will impose on you to stay active and to post new status. In my opinion, facebook does have the effect to generate stress on its users. It gives rise to social pressure and uneasiness sometimes. Let's say you have added all your friends on your account(that's what most people will do), the intention you may have at first is to stay connceted with your friends. But gradually, it seems like you are obliged to comment on whatever that's posted by your friends in order to show your attention to them and the activenss, but rather than you truely enjoy staying connected.
